About Sydney Morawiec, Intern

My journey into counseling began in the summer of 2020, during my undergraduate studies in psychology, when I had the opportunity to work with children and their families in socialization groups. This was the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and being alongside families during such a challenging and uncertain time showed me the profound impact of offering a safe space where people can feel heard, supported, and understood.
That experience showed me how vital it is to meet people where they are, no matter what they’re facing. Whether it’s navigating a tough transition, managing stress, or just needing a safe space to talk. I believe that healing begins when we feel seen and supported, which led me to pursue my M.A in Counseling at Denver Seminary. I’m excited to continue that journey as an intern here!
I’m passionate about creating a space where clients- whether kids, teens, adults, or families- can feel accepted and free to be themselves. My approach is centered on empathy, curiosity, and honoring each person’s unique story.
As a Colorado native I love spending time outdoors- whether that’s hiking, camping or just enjoying the fresh mountain air. When I’m at home, you can usually find me tending to my plants, or relaxing with my cat.
Wherever you are in your story, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
