About Allie Marks, Intern
I believe healing happens in the context of relationship and connection, in experiencing the compassion of others and growing in compassion for ourselves. Stepping into the counseling space and sharing the deepest parts of ourselves is an incredible act of courage. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and valued. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, identifying patterns and discovering new ways of coping and thriving.
I began my professional career working in development for a nonprofit organization in a highly diverse context. In this role, I had the opportunity to meet many different people and hear their unique stories. Through these relationships, I felt inspired to work with individuals on a more personal level, to walk with and empower others on their journeys toward emotional and mental health. This passion has led me to pursue my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so that I may be well equipped with the tools to support clients effectively. I have a passion for working with adults, adolescents, and children as they navigate life’s challenges. It is an honor to work with clients and be a part of their journey toward healing and growth.
Outside of the counseling office, you might find me paddle boarding or hiking. I love exploring the outdoors, spending time with close friends, and traveling to experience new cultures.
